Calling all purple lovers! The Fat Quarter Shop's button club this month is all about using purple in your fall decorations. I found that I had the perfect Fall fabrics with purple in them to make up my Candy Corn wall hanging.
Can you guess my favorite fall candy? Yep, Candy Corn, I love the Indian Corn even more with the chocolate!
Download is after my tutorial and below that are all the fabrics and supplies I used
*** Tutorial ***
Follow the diagram in the pattern to trace and 'X' on the back of the orange squares. I used a iron away pen
Then sew on EACH SIDE of one line
CUT on the UNSewn line
Then cut on the line in the middle of the sewn lines (you can click the photo for a larger image)
Press open the units
Now line up the diagonal line on your square ruler so that the 3 1/2" mark is at each intersection.
The pillow on the left I've had, and I made the pillow on the right
Thank you for following along on my crazy decorating spree!
I'm going to be showcasing my designs in seasonal fabrics often, so next time I'll do just a few a time .. but hey .. sometimes you are inspired and just HAVE to do it!

Post 3 of 4 in my Fabric Fabric - Halloween edition, is all about Panels and table runners! Both are SUPER fast to stitch up and magically change you room
Panels are GREAT for decorating. Fast, easy, and cute! Or spooky in the case of Mr. Chillingsworth. I'm rather fond of him myself.
I made this for my niece who loves all things spooky. The panel is still available but the companion fabrics are not. BUT you can find other fabulous fabrics and do this basic idea for ANY panel with my directions.
Make your panel the size of my center in the directions by adding strips around it.
Make your quilt bigger or smaller with more or less rounds, simple!
Maybe I need to do a step by step for creating something like this with any panel.. would you be interested in that?
SO excited to do this table runner. I've made full zig zag quilts (in my Triangle book) but not a smaller sized square for a table runner .. and now I have!
I LOVE this darling fabric line Dot Dot Boo!from my friends at Me & My sister. Barb and Mary used a fresh shade of orange, that is lighter and I love it!
Here is my question.. I LOVE it so much I think i want a lap quilt from it. I have enough fabric .. so do I go for it? It will be for next year, but my thought is to have the squares cut and sew the HST while i sew other things. That is the beauty of HST, they can be be done so easily when you start & stop other patchwork. Just like I do for squares (SEE that article HERE)
The beauty of this runner is we can create them fast and easy with ANY fabric, instant change of decorations!
Should I go for it?... keep reading, I repeated my other runners below!
