** Calculating how many squares for the 2" square quilt **
Watch my video as I walk through it
Here it is written up
- Width of quilt / 2 = number of blocks in a row (a)
- Length of quilt / 2 = number of rows needed (b)
- Number of blocks in a row (a) * number of rows in the quilt (b) = how many blocks you need
- Total blocks needed /2 = number of color 1 and number of color 2
My example
- Width of quilt = 60 / 2 = 30 - number of blocks in a row
- Length of quilt = 80 / 2 = 40 - number of rows needed
- 30 * 40 = 1,200 total blocks
- 1,200 / 2 = 600 of color 1 and 600 of color 2
