And after it's quilted. In my Video today I ask if you want to do another block a day in 2022? Maybe I need an Annual 'Hope' quilt?let me know in the comments...

***Celebrating Cindy***
You have heard me talk about my wonderful friend Cindy Dickinson. She was not only an incredible friend, but she also was my 'main spa' and helped me run my Facebook community. (and other communities prior to that).
Cindy has not been feeling well for awhile and learned that she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. As her husband Dennis said, she had a short fierce fight and we lost her on Saturday.
Some friends walk into your life and you click on all the levels. That was Cindy and I. We were mostly long distance friends, but we texted or emailed every day. I want to share a few things about Cindy
- She was my biggest cheerleader, but I could count on her to tell me something wasn't right.
- Cindy and Dennis quilted every one of the Fat Quarter shop Charity quilts over the many years I have been doing it. They donated their time and also donated money each year for the patterns. They are very generous
- Cindy had style! She was always finding the perfect accessory, a darling bag, or a 'cute skirt'.
- Her quilting skills were amazing, and she did all the things at least ones, easy to hard.
- She was also my math person, she has killer math skills
- We shared a love of so many things, from decorating, to quilts, to food. We emailed or texted about something every day, I miss that so much.
- Cindy quilted hundreds of my quilts over the many years of our friendship, So many!!
- We love the same type of decorating, quilts, and the great out doors. Nature feed our souls.
- When we met years ago she started to help me monitor my online communities and then Dennis helped too. Together with Gregg and I we built my online community to over 225,000 quilters from around the world. Cindy was always first to jump in and help someone, send them links, get them going again.
- And she loved to celebrate, even more than me! Everything was a party, maybe that was her Louisiana side coming out
Cindy lived life to the fullest. I will always cherish her friendship, admire her quilting, and I miss her so very much.
Her last email to me was just before she went for her first chemo. With stage 4 and being very weak, I was worried. Cindy sounded like herself.. She told me she was 'Not sure she liked that ‘her cancer’ color was purple, which is her favorite color. But she went and ordered new masks in purple', This is what Cindy did!
She savored life and celebrated even the smallest things. This is what I most want to emulate, her ability to make all the things count. Even the very small ones.
Many prayers to Dennis and their families during this hard time. For those of you touched by Cindy, big Hugs 💕
