*** Featured Aurifil Collection ***
Each month the Aurifl color Builder box is named the town of Verona.
Each designer is creating a block based on something about this thread collection. The Aurifil blocks are exciting and unique. At the end of the year I create a layout.
These are the Designer's blocks, they are fabulous together! I also make the blocks in totally different fabrics, and have some tips each month for you on construction, let's continue!

*** Pattern prep ***
- The pattern crosses over 2 pages
- so trace as ONE shape.. yes it seems obvious.. but let's say I've seen people trace 2 shapes and have to redo it... so tossing it out that at ya!

- I over sized a bit past the drawn line to give myself some room to shift things
*** Positioning the skyline ***
- I'm following Carolina's directions, they are very good
- I use my OLFA ruler and rotary cutter for accuracy

*** Stitch ***
- Blanket stitch with Aurifil 50
- I am using the blanket stitch on my Baby Lock Solaris
- The Baby lock Jubilant has the SAME gorgeous stitch!

*** Freemotion stitching ***
- This is very forgiving, and so fun! I love Carolina's technique
- I free stitched the city name too
- Get the Duckbill Scissors so you know you won't slice the background
*** Tracing ***
- Trace with a Frixon pen
- Any part you don't cover will be removed with heat from your iron
