** My Block **Are you Irish? I am! Both my family and my married name.. Sloan. The Original Mr. Sloan from way back when came to the United States from Ireland The name shamrock comes from Irish seamróg [ˈʃamˠɾˠoːɡ], which is the diminutive of the Irish word for clover (seamair) and means simply “little clover” or “young clover”.
