I was invited to another fun event, this time at Facebook! From April 1 to April 10 a group of us will be doing 15 minute 'Show & Tell' trunk shows about our quilts LIVE! So if you are on Facebook check my Facebook page each day for the list.

*** Out West! Block Inspiration ***
Our Out West! Theme this month is 'Ranch Life'.
I'm a city girl. So my view of Ranch Life comes from 2 places. Both include those huge wide open views of mountains in the distance.
About 25 years ago we took several vacations to New Mexico and fell deeply in love with the landscape. The huge desert areas and big sky. I LOVE Big SKY!! We even looked into relocating there but that didn't happen.
Then a little bit after those trips my mom and her husband retired to Montana. They built a yellow house in the valley and the views out their windows were magical of the amazing mountains.
And I seriously want a 'Ranch Entrance' with a sign for my ranch.. I wonder what I'd call it?
*** Cutting tips ***
Remember to cut JUST what you need. This is my process to cut the center for the star. I wanted as much of the flower, but did not want to waste fabric.
- Look at your fabric to find your image on the edge or close to the edge so you do not waste fabric.
Rotate the square to trim it exactly as you like it.

*** Organization tips ***
I put the pieces together on my design board to keep track
And use the open toe applique foot on my Baby Lock Solaris for my sew and flip. It gives me the best visibility

*** 10 Day Trunk show Event! ***
A few of you might not know what a 'Trunk Show' is. It means a 'show and tell' of quilts! This will be done by designers in a 15 min FaceBook live From April 1 to April 10. Each day is new group with different times during the day. Each person will tell trunk show about their own quilts in a LIVE! So if you are on Facebook check my Facebook page each day for the list.
