*** Table Topper ***
Time to make the first block!

It's a nice easy pace to make a cute table topper or use as a baby quilt!
It will be 42" x 42". If you want it larger buy some border fabric or more of my fabric for a bigger quilt. The pattern also has several size options for larger quilts!

*** Flying Geese Unit ***
- Draw a line on the back of the star point squares
- Use a Frixon pen, which will disappear when you press.
USEFUL Items:
*** Sew & Flip tips ***
- Use an open toe foot for visibility
- Sew from the SIDE towards the tip. Don't start at the TIP or you have more chances of the end getting sucked into your machine.
- Sew ON the line.
Sewing on my Babylock Solaris
- Use the folded corner ruler to trim away leaving a 1/4" seam allowance
- Sew the 2nd star point

*** Size DOES matter, check it! ***
- I'm using my OLFA ruler to verify the unit size
- If it is not correct, fix it.
*** Do you often chop off points? ***
- My tip for this unit is to sew with the flying geese on TOP so you can clearly see the intersection you are going for.
- When you have this unit on the bottom you can't see the intersection
- Try it!

*** What's Next ***
- Next time we'll do either the car and we are finished!
- NOTE - The Directional Car Images Need reversed for Fusible Applique Barb (the designer) gave all the shapes in the direction of the pattern cover. If you are doing fusible applique, all the directional shapes need reversed so the car is pointed to the right like you see in the photo.
- If you want to start piecing the stars, go for it!
