*** Feb 6 to Mar 26 Table Topper ***
So many people asked me about using my Bonnie Lane fabric in a quick project, so here are the 4 big blocks we'll be sewing!!
This week pick up your kit, pattern is included in the kit
It's a nice easy pace to make a cute table topper or use as a baby quilt!
It will be 42" x 42". If you want it larger buy some border fabric or more of my fabric for a bigger quilt. The pattern also has several size options for larger quilts!

- KITS = Include BACKING & binding - I'll use the backing for a border for a different look.

*** Piecing ***
- The directions start on page is 6 of Drive Down Bonnie Lane for the mini quilts.
- They are identical. Bellow are a few tips for sewing square in a square blocks.
- After this is a BONUS mini Logcabin quilt pattern and tutorial!
USEFUL Items:
- Photo on the left are the fabrics for each mini quilt. Both use the light cream at the top.
- My big tip is to starch just the fabric you need.
- I prefer to wet it, then let it dry before pressing.
- I do this because
- i don't get any starch on my iron sole plate
- and I feel it works much better to let the starch dry as I think it's firmer than pressing it while wet
- I use the stand for the pattern pieces so I can see everything easily and it does not get lost under the fabric

- Draw the sewing lines on the back of the small squares, i use the iron away frixon pens.
- place squares on 2 opposite corners
- sew ON the lines
- Trim away

- Sew the other 2 small squares
- press open
Try pressing seams open, it will help with your intersections
Here is the back of the block.

*** What's Next ***
- Next time we'll do either the small stars and then the car and we are finished!
- NOTE - The Directional Car Images Need reversed for Fusible Applique Barb (the designer) gave all the shapes in the direction of the pattern cover. If you are doing fusible applique, all the directional shapes need reversed so the car is pointed to the right like you see in the photo.
- If you want to start piecing the stars, go for it!
