Pattern
*** Apron Fabric***
- The charcoal apron has the light pink accents
- Clothes pins are all the pumpkin color
- NOTE - You will see i traced the car's yellow pieces so those are not for the aprons
USEFUL Items:
- My Teach me to Applique Book is a GREAT Companion to this sew along
- So is my Box of Perfect Neutral thread for piecing
- My Favorite Scissors If they are sold out CLICK HERE
- Heat n Bond Lite
*** Tracing applique and fusing it ***
- LABEL everything! It will really help you keep track
- Put them in baggies until you need them.
- Only press for a FEW SECONDS to warm the adhesive to make the shape stick to the background
- You are not cooking a roast, so you don't want to over heat it and dry it out, then it won't stick.
*** The Background ***
- Use 2 OLFA rulers for the width. I love the OLFA as they have a great no slip backing coating on them and really say in place!
- Sew the Stars, Clothesline strip, apron background, and grass as one whole unit before putting on the applique
- Fold in half and crease to find the middle where you will place the middle apron - I go over this in the new video below
*** Tracing applique and fusing it ***
- This is a video I did in 2013 that walks through the steps. Great to use with my book
- Following this video are some photos for the tree, my book has more photo
My Favorite Scissors (not the ones in the video, they were discontinued years ago)
*** Placing the Apron pieces ***

- and apron pockets.

*** What's Next ***
- Sew your top row together
- Next time we'll do the 2nd House
- If you want to continue to trace and fuse your applique, the car is next!
- NOTE - The Directional Car Images Need reversed for Fusible AppliqueBarb (the designer) gave all the shapes in the direction of the pattern cover, so you have to decide on directional shapes, and technique you are using, the direction they need to be.
- If you want to start piecing the 2nd house go for it!
