Bloom-topia Charity sew alongs Blocks #1 & #2

I love the start of a new project and one that supports a charity is ever better! I've partnered with The Fat Quarter shop to sew along to make Bloom-Topia to support Make a Wish.

Here is what you'll find below on the 1st and the 15th of each month until we finish:

• My blocks each week
• Sometimes a tip
• My cross stitch progress
• The link to donate & to download the Bloom-topia patterns.  There is a video too for making the block

You will need ALL of the below:

3. 1 yd binding pick your favorite http://shrsl.com/209oh
4. 6 yds Backing fabric if you want it now

*** Bloom-Topia tips ***

• For the butterfly blocks I starched the background with Niagra https://amzn.to/2uMcjZT
• I spray it
• then let it dry
• then press it. 

*** Should I????  ***

I have ALWAYS loved this butterfly blocks and would love a full quilt of them. Years ago I saw one with a dark background, so I did a test with my Bonnie Lane on the charcoal background

What do you think, should I make them during this sew along and see how many I get done by the end?

This year’s charity quilt along benefits Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas Fat Quarter shop is offering all of the patterns to make this quilt for free, they ask that you donate $5 per pattern download to this amazing organization and 100% of the proceeds from the pattern downloads will be donated to Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas.  The Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics will match up to $20,000 of your donations in 2020 to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas fundraiser, tripling each dollar you donate.
