Cake or Pie.. Pie or cake... and on your birthday does it have to be cake?
I've been a Birthday cake person most of my life but you know, I really love cherry pie!
So this year.. I'm having pie today instead of cake. Anyone else have something beside cake on your birthday?

When you plan to give someone special a quilt do you tell them in advance?
This November we took a trip down to Florida to visit my family. My mom flew in on her way to Greece and we all stayed with my brother and his family. Mom turns 80 in January so we were very excited to celebrate her birthday early together.
I named my fabric line Bonnie Lane for my mom and I surprised her with the sew along quilt I did in Bonnie lane! She loved it!
We had to mail it to her because she was not going to take it on her trip and has it now at her home in Montana

For years people would say mom and I looked like sisters.
I hope I look this great when I'm 80!
Some years my birthday falls on Thanksgiving (looking at you 2021!). The last few years I have taken time to think about the things I'm grateful for on my birthday.
This year I'm so grateful for
- My family: Gregg, all my parents, brothers, brother-in-laws and all their family
- My wonderful friends who are my rock
- Good health, I can do better, but it's pretty good
- A wonderful neighborhood that I've lived in for over 30 years
- and all my online friends. Daily you lift me up and you inspired me to do my best.. I love you!!
