*** My Blocks ***
I'm making one of each block from the bonus sampler that goes along with the Perfect 5 book. The sampler sheet & photo are at the end.
So as I'm making this weeks blocks I realized that I was thinking about how they are constructed. I was analyzing if this block was 'fun' to make, because if it was fun then I'll go back and use it for a full quilt.
- Top block is Sugar Cookies.. and I REALLY love it! this layout is like the full quilt in the book. the sampler has them shifted
- Bottom block is Icebox cookies.. what does an Icebook cookie mean? I used to think they went in the freezer. This block I did the layout like the sampler. For the book there is no solid alternate block.
- Below are a few tips, and share your blocks at the end!
*** TIP ***
- The ruler marking are really wonderful! I can get backgrounds from the scraps
- For the Sugar cookie block I stacked, then sewed in units. This is VERY fun and fast!
- Bonus Tip, I've got a dark background, so sometimes I have to double check i have MY dark fabric where the LIGHT fabric is on the pattern.
