This week I have an amazing find for Snack Chat, talk about designs, and show how I'll approach a layer cake quilt. I decided I needed more info on that so below are some photos to help describe what i do.

Following the pattern in the book I cut 4 squares at a time that i think look good together, those will be one block.
restack them so that the order has one of each.
I took the photo with them shifted a little sideways so you can see
I will cut all that is needed and the sashing and store it so I can see them as I sew other things!

- Remove all the mostly red and use a red sashing?
- Or move the mostly white and use the small red dot?

- --ways were by project for those who don’t have much
- --by color
- --by color but with speciality in it’s on spots.
- -no order at all
- On shelves, containers, boxes. Under the bed, FQS boxes
Jenny Naylor - My fabrics are sorted by color. Although I do separate child or baby prints, and holiday prints alike in their own section. I have a majority stored in the large 16 gallon totes. All the fat quarters are stored in their own totes just the same as large pieces of fabric. Only thing I don't have sorted is the scraps. They are thrown crazily in a decorative box.
