The Christmas Fig Book Sew Along is done!
I was a crazy person and did both the red and green just like the book, and I did one in blue and cream. Both tops are done, the red/green is quilted by Cindy and Dennis Dickinson of Pink Paw Company and they will quilt the blue one for me this summer.
Close up of the quilting, It's more open so that the quilt is not stiff.
I love an overall clamshell style on a sampler that will be used, makes them cozy.
My Blue Version top!
I still need to
- Put a 1" white around the whole outside
- And I'm going to put wider white on the sides to make the whole quilt wider.
- This will most likely be a wedding gift.
Cornerstone Fabric:
- I want a light cornerstone so I had enough of this lattice print to make it happen
Pat's TIPS
- I really am getting a lot of use out of this 'Bees Knees' book stand. I can turn it to face the machine when sewing, or the other direction when cutting. Take a wonderclip and clip the pages to it so they stay nice and flat.
