For my Block #6 I want to celebrate the many books about Space.
There are so many types of book, you'll find I focused on just 2 types. Research for the article I came across Stan Lee and had such fun learning about him. own below I share some links.

Do you have a Space Loving person in your life?
You can still pick up a kit to make my quilt with the fabrics I'm using, it's so darling!
** Buy a KIT that uses my same fabric **
I thought you might like to see this, I had planned for a more scrappy center for the stars.
But when I auditioned it, I didn't care for the look with my fabrics. I felt it held together much nicer with a rectangle of blue. It's much easier to test like this and put those extra squares in your scrap system then to sew the whole block then decide you don't care for it. I do this type of audition a lot.
I tend to read mostly non fiction books. I love a great story and I really want to learn something about the behind the scenes of what was happening.
This book was recommended to me by a quilter. No quilting in it, but it's a powerful look at the role women played in the development of missiles that lead to space travel. You can do a review copy and read the first chapter at Amazon or on your kindle.
While looking at comics on Space I went 'down the rabbit' hole reading about Stan Lee who created the Marvel Comics sensations.
In another book I'm reading on writers, there was a section on writing comics, the stories, etc. I wish I'd been interested in Marvel comics when he was alive. Luckily there is a lot written about Stan and I've enjoyed getting to know what a great force for good he was.
There is a long movie online called STAN LEE STORY that explores the life and imagination of Stan. He lived to be 94 years old and is a comic book legend who created over 500 pop culture characters like Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man, Thor and The Hulk. The film focuses on the stories he tells with comics.
