YWhat better way to celebrate Friendship than with my talented friends? Today is my stop on Amanda Herring's Friendship Quilt Along!
Here is Amanda's beautiful quilt using her fabric line Hello, Lovely!
First I have to tell you that I've know Amanda a long time. I will never forget how welcoming she was when we first meet. Then every time she sees me, she will make time to chat. If we lived close to each other I know we'd spend a lot of time together.
To celebrate her new fabric she created this super fun sew along. You need her templates, and the patterns at then at her website. It's such a fun idea as the templates can be used for so many things!
Each block is giving a name that relates to how she feels about her friends. We got to pick which image we wanted to do.
You know me, I selected the largest flower there is, and it's called Warm.
Since this sew along is about friendships, I decided to show you Amanda's project in another friends fabric.
Her fellow Riley Blake designer, Minki Kim, sent me a bundle of her Serendipity fabric, which is just perfect for this project.
A little up close of the fabric & my stitching.
I used a variegated pink Aurifil 50 wt.(number 4660)
If you want to learn to do machine applique, I have all my tips in my book.

The hexagon fabric is the backing for my pillow!
This might just be the roundest 'square' pillow form I have EVER owned, I may have to open it up and take out some stuffing, it's a roly poly one!
To celebrate friendships, here are a few of the blocks that have been made by my friends (there are many more at Amanda's site!)
On the left is from my friend Christopher of the Tattooed Quilter, I love his photography!
On the right is a closeup from Celine & Rachel at Just Another Button Company who sewed with their newest mini assistant.. YOU MUST click HERE to see who helped Rachel sew.. ahhhh.. so darling!
