Our July Aurifil designer is my friend Sherri McConnell, and you will love her block!
I may have to make a whole quilt of these! I LOVE the stripe, it turned out even better than I expected because it gives a bit of a 'woven' effect.
Do you see the fabric with the tiny pineapples? Can you guess where it came from?
This is my husband's shirt, and I can't tell you how excited I was when he finally decided to 'retire it'.
As soon as he bought it I wanted to cut it up.
When it came out of the dryer the other day he handed it to me, the angels sang and the sun shined bright! haha.. ok, that was dramatic, but hey, I wanted it.
And.. it's black and white.
AND...I had not made Sherri's block yet.. so...
It was perfect timing to be put into this block!
The dot fabric is a similar off white, so I liked the balance of them on either side of a more crisp white.
