Charity block #6 and a 6 big block layout!

Block #6 is the last for the Clementine Charity quilt along! I am sew along with my friends at The Fat Quarter shop and Moda fabrics.

The project supports St. Judes, which does amazing work for children.

There are six big blocks like mine above, and six smaller versions for the original quilt. 

 

All Six of my big blocks!  The fabrics I'm using are

• Kate Spain's 'Voyage Fabric' 
• paired it with Bella Bluebell Solid

My quilt will be auctioned to support St. Judes, so honored!

Block #6 is Strawberry Star.. and the videos by Fat Quarter Shop shows you how to make it.

Most importantly, we are benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with this year’s quilt along. We are asking for a small donation in exchange for downloading each month’s pattern, and together Fat Quarter Shop and Moda will match up to $20,000 of your donation

I have been sewing along with Lori Holt and the Fat Quarter Shop using her Sewing Bee book (on sale!) AND the sew along part is almost done.  This is my 2nd time on the tour to share the Number 6...

If you have been CRAZY good and sewed the blocks assigned each week, today is 6 & 7. I'm using the 6" size blocks.

I've made one of each letter and number and some of the images to put into a quilt. Is the quilt ready to show you? mmmmm....

I had GREAT intentions of showing you a top today, but i will in the future! I'm making it for my nieces two little boys

And I made it scrappy 'I spy' kind of a quilt. Most of the fabrics have some sort of image they can hunt for.

The book has tons of darling images & projects, here is another block that will be in my Alphabet quilt. 

  

 

Besides making the cover quilt, the book is full of project ideas, these are just a few! I love the idea of a set of letters for learning the alphabet. I can remember teaching my younger brother with flash cards.
