To get ready for this teaching trip I spent a lot of time working ahead on the projects I can't do while I'm on the road. This past week I enlisted the help of my office assistant.....
My Aqua Office assistant arrived a few weeks ago. I use the tiers to hold projects as i get them organized. It might be the fabrics for some that will be started (bottom tier) or one in process but that I'm not currently working on (yes I hear you calling that a ufo.. i prefer 'in progress.. that middle tier is my Grandma's Kitchen bottom section), or it may hold parts as I work on them, which is what the top tier is for.
I could roll it around to my work spaces, then it fit snug under my Koala Studio table when I need to store it.
This one is a GREAT PRICE, well worth it for the rolling helper!
- BUY a Rolling Cart, it comes in other colors too!
- There is a 4 tier that is a bit taller with more colors
One of the things i love to have in my studio is a place to put very pretty things in a display.
My Binding baby sits here waiting to help me keep my next binding all tidy. I still need to get a stand.. maybe a shorter one so she has a friend, which color would you get?. The little thimble was a recent gift from across the pond that Jenni Smith sent me, and I found the sign and LOVE it..
Enjoy the Small things... perfect.
A small thing that makes me happy are Fat Quarter bundles. They are SO gorgeous... and yummy ... and TIDY!
But i have this little obsession from years of doing magazine work with bundles ... I like to keep the fat quarters from a fabric line together for as long as I can.
But i can never until the ribbon, use some, stack it back 7 re-tie as pretty as they come to me...
I do TRY... sort of pathetic .... isn't it?
(ps.... I spotted some amazing FQ bundles on sale Here)
Back to the road trip...
For every single road trip (and honestly for most times i leave the house) I take a project bag with things to do. Many things.. no i'm not joking.. MANY MANY things to do... this trip i added a new project!
My Martingale Books family sent the authors a valentine box with this fun book of little Lunch Hour Embroidery projects, a hoop, fabric, floss AND a needle.. it was like Christmas!! Now to decide WHICH embroidery design to stitch.
Help me figure it out.. you can see a few inside pages Here, i'm thinking the sailboat, but there is one on those pages i might do .. which would you pick?
I'm looking forward to seeing many of you this week at the Quilt Guild in the Villages and at Happy Apple Quilts!
