Charity Sew Along Block #1, and it's a bit different!

I'm thrilled to again make a Charity quilt to donate this year along with my friends at The Fat Quarter shop and Moda fabrics.

 

This year we are support St. Judes with this project, which does amazing work for children.

There are six big blocks like mine above, and six smaller versions too, all put into an cool setting. So the project starts today and ends on July 25, 2018.

 

AND make your block and share it at my quilt show, each month I'll pick a winner to receive a surprise package!

I decided on my friend Kate Spain's 'Voyage Fabric' to make my quilt.

Her fabric is so gorgeous, I love ALL the different scale patterns in Kate's lines, the pops of orange & pink are very cool. I paired it with a solid light blue for the background to my blocks. I will be putting my quilt up for auction again this year to raise fund, so you could win my quilt! 

The Fat Quarter shop quilt is uses both the large and small blocks in a super fun setting and they have a kit which uses my friend April Rosenthal's newest fabric, it's so yummy!

And they did a video for making the block, I know you love those!

Most importantly, we are benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with this year’s quilt along. We are asking for a small donation in exchange for downloading each month’s pattern, and together Fat Quarter Shop and Moda will match up to $20,000 of your donation.
