I had loved designing with vintage looking fall fabrics this month for my mini quilt to showcase year 2 of the Button Lover's Club!
The fall Button collection has darling pumpkins, a chunky acorn, cute sunflower, and an OWL!! I love owls!
The classic leave blocks is really fun and fast to make, now I want a whole quilt of leaves.
I'm posting the pattern PRIOR to the buttons arriving from the club, that way you are ready to just stitch them down when you find them in your mailbox.
Each month I'm using a layer cake. This vintage fall look called Courtyard has these soft tans, pale yellow, pinks and this deep plum. I used only fabrics from the layer cake, including the binding!
Aurifil thread 50wt in color #2370 works perfectly.
And if you are looking for batting..the New Happy Cloud batting is DIVINE! you NEED some!
Fall is a favorite season, we change out our decorations, snuggle in with our quilts and go on brisk walks!
