I love trying out new tools and finding out they make a lot of sense. I recently got a Oliso iron, and they have a unique way of working. Let me show you, I even did a video for you!
I'm sure you've seen them, when you are done, you just leave them sit on your ironing board and it has feet that raise the sole plate off the surface of the iron, which is really neat.
But why would we want to do that?
I have a few GREAT reason...
You can see how the feet raise the iron off the surface
And it really does work!
How do you get it to work?
These sensor buttons are the secret. I show you in the video below exactly how to do it
My short videos shows you the key features! ALSO Subscribe to my Youtube so you don't miss a thing!
- This iron is one of the heavier ones, which I love. I really like an iron with some weight. But for some people they can't really lift then all the time anymore. This one you leave horizontal the whole time you are working. Less fatique and it's ergonomic.
- Another thing we quilters do is rush a bit (I know.. we do!) So you press a patch, then set the iron on end, and go to grab another patch and burn your arm on the iron that is sitting upright. That won't happen here.
- My favorite reason to have this is teaching children to sew. They just forget and about putting the iron upright.. oi!! And when you are teaching them you have so many things to keep track of, this gives you peace of mind that you never have to worry about them burning themselves or the project.
I think you deserve great tools to do your quilting.. I hope you get one and enjoy it as much as I do!
