UFO - UnFinished Object .... We quilters own them and love them ... hey we must.. we have alot!
This year I'm following American Patchwork & Quilting's UFO challenge to finish one a month.... let me tell you how it's going
The idea was to create a list of 12, number them, then as the random number are given out, you do that number in that month. It's a great idea.... and works so well...
... except for me ...
I can't seem to do the number, so I'm working on what I'm motivated to work on instead..

This is how my UFO logic as gone for selecting a project for March.... I'm sure YOU don't think like this...
I decide that all my 'most logical' UFOs to finish would go in my Moda Laundry Basket which is adorable, it rolls, and I made it an darling insert.. I may talk to it.. I love it so much!
Did you notice I said 'Most Logical'....
I am a computer nerd and my whole life has been logical thinking.. so of course to get a project completed I pick ones almost done... makes sense right?
But that group of 'almost done' didn't all fit in my darling Moda Laundry Basket...
I also have a shelf of them in my vintage pie safe.
I can stack quite a few in here...
I see space for another on top...
On Thursday night I looked into my Moda Laundry Basket and saw my Valentine version of Stitched Quilt.
...Which had been trimmed
...With binding done
...But no hanging sleeve or label.
.... mmm ... I'm gong for it..
NO hanging sleeve and I did my famous Triangle label.
Put my walking foot on my Baby Lock Destiny II and at 10:00pm at night.. sewed the binding to the back so I can flip it to the front and do the whole binding by machine.
I do almost ALL my binding by machine or I'd never finish anything.
Got out a bunch of wonder clips (ON SALE!!) to secure the corners
I only clip the corners as this keeps them flat. Plus since I'm on the machine I don't want that clanking of clips while I'm working.
I think tonight will be securing binding to the front.. what do you think....
Straight stitch or Blanket stitch for this one?
The Binding is scrappy using all the leftover jelly roll strips
