For 2016 each Aurifil designer used blue and white. Many used their own fabric lines. Some used solids, Most had different shade of 'white' or 'eggshell/off white' Some had only lights in their prints'.
My job each year is to set the blocks. I find it a lot of fun to do! These are BIG blocks so I went with a off white frame using Moda Grunge in Vanilla which has some texture. Then a navy frame in my own Sunday Drive Batiks.
White sashing to separate the blocks. You could easily put a border on this one.
Would you like to see some of the quilting?
My good friend at PinkPaw & Company quilted each block differently.
I REALLY love this one and need to save that for another quilt!
The light sashing around each block is the same, as is the navy, which is very liner.
isn't this COOL!
