Today I want to share about the upcoming 24 hour Pillowcase Sew-a-Thon with my good friends at American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine!
Almost from the time I started to work with the magazine, they have done amazing charity projects. And I'm happy to be involved with each and everyone!
The 1 Million Pillowcase project is unique. You make pillowcases to donate to a charity of your choice. then you go to their website and log in how many you donated. Once a year a international Sew-A-Along takes place. Plus many times throughout the year, the magazines "Pillow Squad" takes to the road, sets ups and has people sew sew sew! This one was at the first QuiltCon in Texas that I attended.
I love that they put out a basket, and a counter... so you can see the pillowcase tally add up!
This year the Magazine's staff designed the adorable pillowcase block for my project with Jane, The Splendid Sampler™.
The one of the right was made by Kathy B. It's her 'urban clothesline'.. i love that city in the background!
