With Doing my Splendid Sampler project I am using a lot of smaller units. And I love to over size them, so that I can trim them down perfectly. The tiny square gives me control over that size unit. Above i started with a 2.5" square, which I can line up the diagonal and trim down to a 2" or 1.5" square with precision. It has non slip backing dots under the numbers.
My favorite is the Bonus twill ribbon printed with adorable sayings!!
How can you use it?
- Add to your label
- On the Splendid Sampler we have several blocks that it could be used in. The Selvege saver, the Quilt shop, or anywhere you want words.
- On a pincushion would also be fun!
- I attached it by laying it on top of the fabric and top stitching down both sides. Much easier than sewing it in a seam. but you can do that too!
