This month our Aurifil Designer is my friend, and fellow Moda fabric designer, Kate Spain!
This is my version of Kate's block...
I had such fun learning more about Kate in my interview with her, I think you will learn something you might not know.. like her secret garden of pottery.. really.. you must read it!
Read my Interview and at the END is the Kate's Challenge Block.
You enter your challenge block below!
Once we have 4 blocks I start to get very excited about the possibilities!
The blocks are as much a mystery for me as they are for you.. usually I see them just a few days prior, sometime a few weeks. And they always go together! I love working with this green/peach/black combo this year. My star has a lot of black, so later in the year I'll make another with more black to balance that.
Let's see the designer blocks!

Beautiful in Blue! Each designer is using their own blue fabrics with white or off white.. and they are amazing together! Heather Valentine kicked off the year with the tops left, then the wonderful lake block by Kari Carr, Christa Watson came in with her improv star, and now Kate's High Tide.
You are going to have such fun with it! She made her block in her new Moda batiks.. so yummy!
I recently got these boxes, and they are PEFECT for storing all the projects I'm working on! The 12" block its in there perfectly, and I have one with The Splendid Sampler and several others.
I am seriously thinking of an entire shelf of them to keep track, they work so well!
