Every month I'll post about my journey of making my 2016 charity quilt with the Fat Quarter Shop.
In the comments below you can share about a charity project you are supporting. Maybe you are making quilts for your local firehouse, veterans, or womens' shelter. Whatever quilting and sewing charity you are involved with, you can list in the comments. I have a category at the right side bar called 'Charity Roundup' so you can find this again.
Doing charity work is incredibly meaningful to me. I've sewn, quilted and donated quilts for charity since I first started making quilts.
I am actually doing TWO quilt. One is full size like the original, the other I'll make less blocks and keep for myself as a memory of this year's charity project.
My AMAZING friends Cindy & Dennis Dickinson will be quilting the final charity quilt. I'm so lucky to have such great friends! If you want a quilt done by them, let them know via their website http://www.pinkpaw.com/
This year the charity we are supporting is the March of Dimes foundation and we will be raising funds to help their efforts to fight premature births. We hope you will sew along and donate to this amazing cause through our fundraising link:
