I am deeply honored to be running the 6th year of the Aurifil Designer of the month program! I LOVE my job! I have the chance to interview and get to know 12 new people each and every year. It's so exciting and fun!
The January Designer is Heather Valentine of The Sewing Loft, and her block is SO darn CUTE!
But what fabric should I use this year?
For this year I had a FQ bundle of Figtree FarmHouse which has been sitting on my shelf whispering my name and begging me to use it.. in.. something!
Let's take a peek
The theme for the Aurifil Designers is Blue and White inspiration.
That is 2 colors. I looked through the Farmhouse bundle and picked out the black, green, aqua, tan and cream.. because I'm a rebel at times...
For Block 1 I'm going to stay with these.

Here we go, it's all laid out so i can just pick it up and sew
This keeps me in order.
