I've been wanting to create a way for us to share charity quilt alongs we are involved with. I'm going to host a Monthly Quilt Charity Round up.. let me tell you about it!
Every month I'll post about a charity, and then you can share one that is near and dear to you in the comments.
Maybe you are making quilts for your local firehouse, veterans, or womens' shelter. Whatever quilting and sewing charity you are involved with, you can list in the comments.
Doing charity work is meaningful. I've done quilts for charity since I first started making quilts. I have made them for all types, like quilts that are raffled to make money for the organization, to quilts for the local linus group.
Because giving your time and money to make a quilt for another is meaningful work, I want you to TELL us about the project you are involved with. Don't just stick an website there, that is not meaningful. Tell me why you are involved with it, what work is being done, how the money is spent that is raised, or who receives the quilts. Give a link to the organizations website too.
My Charity this year is to make the Crossroads quilt and have it raffled with the Fat Quarter shop for the March of Dimes.
KIT HERE if you want to sew their version this year.
You can always find the charity posts by looking on my RIGHT SIDE BAR for Charity Roundup.
Tell me about your charity in the comments! (to learn how to leave a comment read this tutorial)
