This year I followed along with the Fat Quarter Shops charity quilt called Snapshots, and I donated my quilt to the auction to raise even more for St. Jude's childrens' hospital. You can still bid, but it ends soon! If you know someone who is not a quilter that wants to support St. Jude's send them the this link to bid.. I'd love to see my quilt go to an amazing home http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/262170342525?rmvSB=true
This year the quilt is called 'CrossRoads' and will benefit the March of Dimes, which is a wonderful organization that helps to prevent and treat premature births.
The blocks are free and we ask that you give a donation to the March of Dimes. There is a whole group of us making the quilt each month, so you'll have a chance to see a lot of different ways it can be done.

This year the Fat Quarter Shop has a theme of celebrating the many types of crossroads we have in our lives. More than anything, we all know that every decisions we make, no matter how big or small, impacts our path as well as those around us. This year all of us making this quilt hope in 2016 to create an impact for the March of Dimes and those they serve!
Today we are all sharing an event that has transformed our lives … a 'Crossroad'.
I have been thinking on this for several days. When you really stop and reflect, there are many crossroads right? Like you I have a variety, some i controlled, some I didn't.
I'd like to share a few important crossroads in my life
- When I was in 5th grade my dad took a job working in Germany. Moving to another country and living in an apartment off base, made a huge impact in my life as I'm sure it changed how I perceived the world. The world is a large and grand place, but deep down we are all people living our every day lives with our families and our friends. No matter what language or spot on earth you are living it it.
- Deciding to go to college in my grandparents town, I meet my best friend, my husband... and we've been married 35 years.
- About 28 years ago I changed companies and discovered my soul sister, who has been my best buddy for all these years. (hey Brenda!!)
- Twenty years ago my friend Gwen told me I should learn to quilt, I thought she was nuts... I didn't want to cut up fabric and put it back together. But I took a class and my life was changed forever. I can't even tell you how quilting have been a huge life enhancer for me!
- Then 15 1/2 years ago Gregg and I left corporate life to start our own Design business based on my quilting patterns.
- More recently my corporate partners and the quilters who have joined me online in my communities are enhancing my life in tiny, medium and huge grand scales! My life is full of twists and turns, they are all wonderful in their own way.
I'd love to know about a crossroad that changed your life... we all have them.
