My good friend Amy Ellis has been hosting the Blogger's Quilt Festival for many years during the trade show. It's a way to share our quilts and have some fun.. oh... she HAS PRIZES too!!
Everyone enters in a category. Then you'll be able to vote on your favorites!
I want to share with you my quilt 'I Believe'.
When I designed this quilt I really wanted to put on it things that remind me of Christmas. I spent a long time thinking of items that meant a lot to me, doing sketches, and then working on a layout.
The snowflakes are inspired by vintage 30's quilts, the words and 'hugs and kisses' are a must have!
This is Granny's house and Pappy's shed in the middle. They were my holiday inspiration! My Granny decorated everything, don't stand still or you'd have a christmas ball hanging off your nose!
Then I added the sweet sugar plum fairies at the top with a gorgeous red cardinal.
Putting in Nana's cookie jar was so much fun, she always had some handy! Plus I needed a cute tree, don't you think the twig tree is it!!
I hope you have fun seeing all the quilts shared at Amy's event, I know I'll be going to all the sites and reading all the stories!
