My Friend Jane introduced me to Cat & Vee last near and I've been head over heels in love with their work. They are designers of products with fun name and sayings. Their sense of FUN is the BEST! THEN those crazy creative gals designed a t-shirt for ME.. serious.. this is so amazing!
They worked on this t-shirt in secret then surprised me with it!! I SO LOVE it! And it's Pat Sloan RED.. I think we need that color trademarked!

My gorgeous Australian buddy Quilt Jane hand carried t-shirts here for me, and she and the talented Penny B surprised me by wearing them to the show!
I want you to meet my super creative first, so I asked a few questions....
- Who ARE Cat & Vee? we are Cat and Vanita, two good friends from Brisbane, Australia. (Cat is on the left.. Vee on the right)
- What do you create -
- in our shop www.etsy.com/au/shop/catandvee you will find our designs - screen printed panels, digitally printed panels, and printed t-shirts and tote bags. We write at www.catandvee.blogspot.com.au. We can otherwise be found having fun on instagram as @hellofromcat and @hellofromvee. (follow them on IG.. the BEST!)
- How do you come up with your ideas? - our ideas come from everywhere - things we hear and see, and things we dream up. Our best ideas come while we are catching up over a glass of wine and some snacks while our kids all play together.
- Are you also quilters? - Cat is a quilter and creator of all sorts of sewn things - bags, quilts, cushions, placemats, coasters, mini quilts. Vanita is a graphic designer, but has been known to sew up an awesome cushion or two!
- Do you each have a unique roll, or do you both do everything? We both come up with the ideas and Vanita is a graphic designer so she puts the final design together.
- What project are you working on for yourself? Cat has a very long list of quilts to make - for her children and home, and loves to take classes - most recently with Barb and Mary from Me and My Sister, and very soon with Lizzy House!
- Vanita is feeling 'creatively flat' this year and is thinking she needs a totally different kind of design project to get her back in her zone. She is currently trying to convince her husband to sell their family home and purchase a 'renovation project' for her to sink her teeth into......watch this space!
These fun girls gave me t-shirts to give away!! I have THREE..woohoo! A L,XL, and 2XL. I'm wearing an XL size... So here is the question

Candace who wrote - Down the shore to wander the boardwalk, people watch, talk about growing up in Jersey, eat pork roll sandwiches and copper kettle fudge. Then we'd buy every color salt water taffy and I'd talk you into designing a quilt just for me using those colors. Hey, I can drean can't I?
