I am on my way to the trade show! After that I'll be teaching at Gruber's quilt shop AND doing a book signing i the evening. Then the next day I'll be at the local Barnes & Noble book store for TWO book signings.. fun fun fun! The trade show is first.. starting on Thursday. The best part of about interviewing designers is getting to know a bit more about them. Lynn Harris is the May 2015 Aurifil Designer. She has a SUPER cute mini quilt for you.. I did very controlled colors for my version, you'll see that her version is super scrappy and so easy and fun! All of my Aurifil Mini's together What do you think? Are you ready to sew Block 6 of my quilt The Sweet Life? This block is Cupcake Love. What is sweeter than a cupcake on Mother's day? I wish I was able to see my mom today, but we'll have a nice long chat instead! As I kid I loved cupcakes more than regular cake. Why? Because I didn't like the way the icing inbetween layers of cake changed the texture of the cake. Cupcakes were all cake and never got that mush feel.. too much information? I think so.. ha!
