Well... Hello! It's Gregg here, better known as the 'Shipping Department'. It's just weeks prior to the spring trade show and it can be a little crazy at a Moda Designers studio.
We 'back office types' decided to take over our designers blogs for the day.. you know.. so they can get some sewing done!
Normally I don't do any of the sewing.. well actually I NEVER do any of the sewing.
I do the shipping (thus the name), all the event planning, all the accounting, ordering, editing, cover photography, accounting, technical webwork, accounting (did I mention accounting yet?).. plus I drive the QuiltMobile and set up for events.
I really like this job!
As you might imagine, it's a little crazy a few weeks before the trade show. The Moda Designers (that would be Pat and the other fantastic group of designers at Moda) all have last minute things to do. That may include needing some fuel to keep going.
Pat's fuel of choice... Iced or Hot Latte's. Depending on the weather. Looks like it's been warm the last few days.. what do you think?
As I mentioned, I'm really not helpful in the sewing area. One of the reasons is my favorite color... Pat just doesn't seem to understand that WHITE is really the best color there is.
Although she DID include a WHITE Batik in her newest Moda Line called The Sweet Life .. yep I told ya it was a great color...
To be honest I can't wait to get back to my normal work life where it's not so crazy. Where i get to ship books to you (filled with quilts made of Moda fabric), put awesome Thread kits in your packages, and film the different things that need filmed.
Rumor has it that this week more Moda Designers will have their blog taken over, or maybe their IG account....as it's... DESIGNERS IN REAL LIFE week here at ModaLand. look for hashtag #designersirl
