Amy Ellis has a new book called 'Think BIG' ... Quilts... Runner... and Pillows from 18" blocks.
When she invited me to review the book and come on her tour I said yes! I LOVE big blocks and what's even better is I love Amy! This is a very clever book.. let me tell you about it.
Her book has each quilt in FIVE sizes, which makes it so useful.
How often do you find a quilt you want to make and it's not the right size? She has taken all the guess work out of changing the size and we quilters love her for it!
You will find a chart to make the project in any size from Pillow to King size quilt!
Amy asked us to make a pillow, and I am somewhat of a rebel on this tour as I decided I'd rather have a table mat. Which is the same as a pillow, but not as fluffy... and it's kind of flat.. Luckily Amy is ok with this!
It's cold, it's snowy, it's grey.. I decided to pull loads of my green fabrics from ALL my Moda Fabric lines and play!
Her quilt called Filmstrip is perfect for scraps. PLUS it has this larger center to showoff a great print. AND it's super awesome with multiple blocks in a quilt too.
If you want to buy a signed copy of 'Think Big', use “ILovePillows” for a discount code for 30% off at Amy's online shop - that code will work through the first of March.
Amy's giveaway is super cool.. she has multiple fabric bundles to give away and one lucky person wins a QUILT made by Amy!!! yes.. a QUILT!

What is your Favorite size project to make
The winner of my summer table mat is Dianne H. who said
"I have made full/queen size quilts, but my favorite size to make is a lap quilt or even a large
baby quilt. Right now I'm making a table runner and a mini quilt. Love the bright, cheery colors
in your table mat. I can use all the bright colors I can find right now. Because of all the snow
and ice, and the frigid temperatures we have here in Ohio, I have been unable to get down our
steep half-mile-long down-hill driveway. I have only been "out and about" twice since the end of
December. We need all this ice and snow to melt ASAP."
Now go visit April and Amy to see what they made
