When I first learned to quilt I joined a guild. And the very next thing I did was volunteer to be in the Charity bee. Making quilts for charity is in my blood, just like it is for so many of you. I loved giving back with a quilt, something made by me to give a person comfort, or to raise money for an amazing organization.
I decided 2015 was my year to do another charity piece to benefit an organization. When I saw that the Fat Quarter shop is again hosting a sew along to raise funds for St. Jude's I knew this was the one I would do.
Their 2015 Snapshots Quilt Along is above, made with the beautiful fabric from the Daysail collection designed by Bonnie & Camille.
For the quilt along, the patterns will be available for FREE download each month on the 15th on the Fat Quarter Shop blog. Isn't this an adorable quilt? ALL pieced.
I am excited to be using my next fabric line The Sweet Life, plus Moda basics of the dot and the background. This fabric will be in stores in a bit, but if you want to get started now, use my One for you, One for me as it will work great!
Here is a sneak peek at my blocks so far, and yes those are little itty bitty yo-yo's on the cake!
and one of the puppy... I'm so in love with this block!
The Fat Quarter Shop also has a video of EACH block, you can play it right here to see how the block is made. It is a flip and sew method, they make it easy to do.
The best part about this quilt along is raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For every pattern downloaded, Fat Quarter Shop is encouraging a $5 donation to St. Jude to help advance cures for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics is planning on matching all donations up to $10,000!
And I asked my good friends Cindy and Dennis of PinkPaw studio if they would partner with me to quilt my quilt and we will be auctioning it to raise even more money at the end of the year. That means you can bid and win my quilt!

I hope you will consider quilting along with me, the Fat Quarter shop
and tons of quilters across the world
Please donate $5.00 to St. Judes HERE, it's a great cause!
