And we are on Day 7 of my 12 Days of Giveaways!! I put out a call to the universe, to the gods of missing items, to the merry little elves.. to help me find at least ONE of my Christmas tree skirts! I've designed several for magazines over the years but couldn't find them.
AND my plea was heard!!! A year ago I must have found one and put it IN the ornament box.. I was SO HAPPY!
An added treat this year is that my mom sent me a box of ornaments from when when i was little. We lived in Germany and Belgium, so several are from there. My brother was visiting and i sent some home with him. These are the ones I put on my tree! I am very partial to those flocked red ornaments and the deer, it's the deer sweet? I remember these so well. I also have a few very delicate wooden ones.

Anita B is the winner!! She shared her favorite childhood ornament - "It's a partridge and a pear my Mom crocheted and used a sugar solution to stiffen so it would hold it's shape. A tip of a toothpick is it's beak. Caution: sugar solution turns things a funny color."
