Moda does the BEST tours!! Each time we do a tour, about twice a year, we have a theme. It's so fun to see how each of us interprets the theme and uses our fabric lines.

When did you start quilting? well.. it was an accident... CLICK HERE to read about it.. seriously how did i go on to LOVE being a quiltmaker after that one?
When did you fall in LOVE with textiles? oh my oh my oh MY!! When I was in 5th grade, it was the Barbie doll clothing.. hands down the MOMENT I fell in LOVE with textiles. I used to draw notebook after notebook of clothing for Barbie .. then I HAND SEWED outfits, as we didn't have a machine! That was it, I was hooked on fiber ever since.
This is MY quilt from the free pattern using a charm pack and Moda dottie, fun fun fun!! Now I want to make it with a layer cake, and a Candy! Did you see Julie's candy ver? Or Kate's layer? I LOVE THEM!
I get shaky knees when...... I see certain quilts, seriously! It might be from a fellow designer, or an antique quilt, it can just be a PHOTO of a quilt that makes my heart race. I usually start my day thinking about Quilts I'd LOVE to make, and my Facebook Quilt Along group has enough to keep me busy for ... mmm... let's just say awhile! This one hanging in my studio is an all time favorite. I made it after seeing an antique quilt that was OUT of my budget. But i LOVED it so much and it stuck in my head.. So this is my version! do you see the butterflys on my Moda LOVE quilt? They are Fabric Origami and incredibly addictive. I used the pattern at this link and modified it a bit. Let me know if you try it!

I would love to spend a day with...... One year when I interviewed the Aurifil Designer of the Month, I asked them this question. And it's always been on my mind .. just WHO would I like to spend the day with.
I have SO MANY people to choose from... I need an ENTIRE YEAR dedicated to that (let's start with THIS list). But TODAY, in honor of my Video and my very good friend, I'd LOVE to spend a day with Alex Veronelli of Aurifil seeing ITALY...
NOT in the factory, NOT in his paperless office, and definitely NOT winding thread.
No .. I'd like Alex to show me to his favorite spots in ITALY... did I mention this has to happen in ITALY yet? I have a passport Alex and I know how to use it!
Ok.. let's see if we can make this one happen..
