March was a busy work month for me... teaching out of town, writing a book, getting quilts made with my new fabric for the trade show in May, and hosting my Globetrotting BOM!
In other words... I didn't fit in much time for fun sewing.
I did very little on my UFO pile. Sooooo ....
In April I want to either FINISH a UFO or make major progress on one.
But that won't happen unless I get it out and work on it.. ha!
(for the new quilters that have joined me.. UFO = UnFinished Object)
So I've decided to do the one I SAID I was going to do. My Bunny quilt top will get basted at a BARE minimum. And I do want to start quilting it. The backing is made, the binding is ready
This is the top, from a Bunny Hill pattern HERE.
I used buttons and embroidery and had so much fun making this with my girlfriend!
Your assignment
- Get a project out and available for working on EVERY DAY for 10 minutes.. 10 min a day
- Pick a time you can work on your project.. 10 min in the morning before work... right before you make dinner (weird.. but that one works for me!), take some handwork to do on your lunch hour, or while waiting on appointments. On the phone alot? Put your hand work near the phone!
There ARE 10 min in your day...
- put down the book
- don't fiddle with the TV
- Talk on a headset while on the phone... hands free allows you to sew at the same time!
- reduce your ...GASP internet time by 10 min...
- 10 min is doable!!
Leave me a coment telling me WHAT TIME OF DAY you will sew in.
I know you can, I believe in you
so much so I'm sweetening the deal... some might call it bribery... but I prefer to call it motivation... hey.. I do what works
Leave me a comment and YOU MIGHT WIN this package... comment by next Friday night
and then... Let's GO SEW!
(ps... all the UFO challenges and tips are on the right side bar under UFO Busting)
WINNER Is Sandi who said "I WILL work on quilting one of the two tops I have finished by quilting between supper and bedtime. Too much time wasted in front of the TV!"
