I had several people ask if my pattern 'Never Enough Chocolate' can be done scrappy
Well yes it can!
There are many 5" squares and 2.5" squares
So if you have left over charm squares. Leftover jelly roll strips. Or have been cutting scraps to these 2 sizes you are ready to roll! You will need an alternate fabric to set each block, I'd suggest one fabric if possible.. but scrappy that too if you are in the mood. The outside triangles are a bit bigger, but I bet you have some LARGE scraps.. right?
Let's audition!
Take some large squares and small square.. lay them out like the photos
I'm in LOVE with those circles... IN LOVE.. red.. circles.. yes please!
Lay out a few more to see how your scraps are doing.
I am using reds for the hanging diamonds, and darks for the big triangles.
But you could make the little ones more scrappy!
Why not .. right?
What if I wanted all lighter fabrics?
Let's see how this flows
the alternate block
These yellow fabrics are so happy!
And all together now!
Auditioning REALLY helps you figure out what you want to do before you sew it all together.
I'm using a very pale gray Bella solid as the alternate. You could use white, cream or how about black?
