I must say that I surprised myself this month with my own UFO busting! (UFO = Un-Finished Objects). I've put binding on two quilts, sent two tops off to be quilted and then I listed all my projects in progress
... let's take a look!
Binding for project #2 is an bed-size quilt that I started.. mmm .. awhile ago.
It has been waiting for binding since early fall.
I had binding made... so.. now it's done!
The border fabric I hoarded for a LONG time.. by Martha Negley. I love her fabrics, and this one with the flowers and fruits makes my heart beat fast!
The blocks are logcabins made with rectangle centers and odd sized strips for the logs. I repeated that green dot and used a wonderful bunch of scraps I had been saving.... oh .. that means I busted scraps too!
The other thing I did this month was write down ... AGAIN ... all the projects that have been started.
WIP = Works in Progress.... or PIGS= Projects In Grocery Sacks (I dunno ... pigs doesn't do it for me)
If you have been quilting with me for years, you know I do this list at least once a year. (see the UFO chatter HERE at my quilt group). But this year I have a new thought process... the list is NOT THAT BIG... and some projects are NOT THAT FAR from being tops. So I'm Embracing my list and going to select projects that I really WANT to finish.
That will be what I do for February.. try and move a project into "Topville".
I also want to start documenting my finishes. That is MOTIVATING.. don't you think?
I created this sheet you can print. It's NOT fancy.. but it's something easy to write on and you will really see how you move forward. And sometimes it's nice to write by hand.. don't you think?
