I am trying to learn how to use my new "Studio Assistant" Bertie.
She is bit more complicated than the phone camera.. wink! The Shipping Department and I headed out to a local park that is actually an old farm... complete with barn animals!
First stop was to check out the baby piggies.. they all went nuts and ran outside as soon as we walked in! And to be honest... I'm NOT a farm girl.. so we exited that building quickly.. (phew!)
It was loads of fun to walk around taking photos, trying out settings and learning how the lighting affects what I do (it's ALL about lighting!)
I am a TOTAL sucker for a garden gate.. and a white one.. be still my heart! I didn't even need a active garden to get excited about this. I'm thinking I need a white garden gate in my yard this spring.
This man was creating Celtic crosses. It was really nice to be able to chat to him about his work. This is the first one he is making this season. So he was working out the process.
There is an old farm house on the property (now the offices of the park).
Years ago I wanted to live in a farm house, we even looked at some. So the romance is still there, but now I'll just visit them.. wink!
And this is my favorite shot of the day.. the lighting was great. As we came around the house to the back I saw this layout and 'SNAP'!
