How are you doing? Following along on your "BrambleBerry Farm" quilt ... or catching up? August is time for the PINKS block!
I loved making this block. With the fun 'Pinks' in a curvy vase..
add a few little stars and away you go!
One of the most interesting things about this quilt is this background fabric I used.
The branches are printed on the batik, an Eyta Sitar print. But it LOOKS like they are embroidered!
FANCY right?
The quilting is all done by my friend Joanne Hoffman... she does amazing work.
In the book I used the pinks on a strippy quilt.
Here I can auditiong the fabric to applique on.
Checking out the applique fabric itself to make a final choice.
Having a design wall to pin to is crucial for a quilter. You can then step back and take a photo to see what is REALLY going on with your fabric choices.
All the applique cut out!
And the final quilt..
check out the binding!
The full quilt again!
