It's time for a Sew Along! I would love for you to make a pillowcase for charity. Then do it one better and make a quilt to go inside it.. Ready to #SewWithPat? Of course you are!
American Patchwork & Quilting's issued a challenge to make 1 million pillowcases. And To celebrate the tally zooming past 500,000 pillowcases YOU have made .... they asked some of us if we would spread the work and make a pillowcase for charity.
To celebrate this great milestone of being over half way there, they did a pinterest contest to select YOUR favorite free pattern from their website and the train pattern won! (click here for it)
They asked a group of us to make a this pillowcase.. it's so adorable right? This was my first pile of fabric.
I laid out the fabrics in position but thought...mmm.. maybe not.
I can do better
Second selection.. WAY better!
all fabric is from my stash... the Fabrics I Used
- Blue Dot - Sherbet Pips by Annela Hoey for Moda
- Train (except engine) - Hometown by Sweetwater Design for Moda
- Red strip - Bobbins and Bits by Pat Sloan for Moda

The POWER of fussy cutting..
