For Wild and Free we build a spectacular background that is NOT beige.. or tonal.. at least that is the goal.. wink! Here is one background being laid out to audition pieces. She has cut many of them to size and is checking before the sewing begins
Lots of concentration on what will go where... see that aqua and pink quilt?
this is her background! It's stunning.. and I want that aqua floral.. (it's an Amy Butler "LOVE" piece.. yes.. I googled it while in class as the shop was sold out)
and the lady next to her... yep.. this is her background!
She did a super job with this background rolling the pink and green around the quilt so that it was balanced. And... look at ther shoes... and purse... think she likes pink?
Americana versions are one of my favorite.. and this one... had some of my fabric in it!
Another beautiful background with the red/gold/navy will be stunning with the applique.
This all green background is beautiful! She had some home dec fabrics, see the bottom left, with great texture.
Laura Kay is the shop owner and she did a black and white with royal blue. Here we are auditioning the applique fabrics. The yellow floral on the middle right will be the BeesKep!
