Pat Sloan What do you think of this?

I am sorting out fabric today and pulled some fabrics for a new quilt that is a gift. The request is that i uses the same colors in their rug ... which is mostly Navy with a bit of orange. And a few other small bits of color

I found that fabric on the bottom left which has similar colors to the rug... although the rug is mostly navy with some random modern shapes in the other colors.

I added this dusty celery type green, some old lines from Moda.  I am thinking I will just use a tiny bit of it and keep the quilt mostly navy and orange .. like the rug.

All of this fabric is older from my collection. See that navy at the top left? it is old old old... and one of my favs from Moda.  I bought it in ALL the colorways.. because I could.. wink!

As a kid... Summers meant the beach. We lived just a few blocks from the Atlantic ocean and spent most of the summer walking there.  Having a few hours at the beach was thrilling... Thank you mom for taking us so often!

Today I have run away

Do you ever have that feeling.. that things are building up.. you might be a Teeny Tiny bit behind

And the woes of the world will ALL go away if you just.... run ....away?

My local friends have all been pining for a day off.. to fun away .... not too far away... so off to Leesburg VA for shop,  lunch...maybe buy a cherry pie.. oh yeah!

So as you read this I am unplugged and out of touch.... I'm hoping for an amazing day to hang out with my buddies and just let work go way for the day.

you know.. chill out!

We are meeting at The Cottage... shopping MIGHT happen.. who knows what goodies await us!
