Day 2 of my "Girls in the Garden" Blog hop and Heather of Olive and Ollie is working some 'modern' magic with my patterns. I have been excited to watch Heather explore her quilting as she has taken each and every quilt just another step further into the land of extroidinary! She entered the modern quilt guild challenge last year and won and won and won!
Let's learn some FUN FACTS about Heather !
If you were a salad, what kind of dressing would you want poured all over you? - If I were a salad, I would want the very best blue cheese dressing. It is by far my favorite dressing of all time, even though I know it's not the healthiest choice. I can't help it though, it's been my favorite since I was a little kid, thanks to my grandpa! Although, I must admit there was a period of time when I wouldn't eat it, after I found out what the "blue" in blue cheese was.
If you were a car, what kind would you be? If I were a car, I would be a Jeep: an American classic. ;)
Who were cast in a remake of Thelma and Louise who is in it with you? If I were cast in a remake of Thelma and Louise, my partner would be Angela Walters of Quilting is my Therapy. She is the most amazing quilter, and I think we make a pretty good team. Please visit her blog at http://quiltingismytherapy.com/ to see her gorgeous work. You won't be sorry!
In fact, Angela recently quilted one of my quilts, which is my favorite one that I've made to date. It's my modern interpretation of the traditional Ohio Star pattern, and while it is fairly simple in construction, the large scale, color palette, and Angela's amazing quilting make it very special to me. I'm finishing up the pattern for the quilt soon and should have it ready to purchase in the next week or so, and the quilt will be on display during the International Quilt Festival this April in Cincinnati, as part of an exhibition of works by members of the Cincinnati Modern Quilt Guild.
And I want you to meet a very good friend of mine Traci Marvel. We have been friends for a many years and I am very excited she is part of the amazing team at Bigfork Bay Cotton Co. that is publishing my patterns!
Let's learn some FUN FACTS about Traci!
If you were a salad, what kind of dressing would you want poured all over you? Paul Newman's Honey French Dressing.
If you were a car, what kind would you be? Ford Mustang Convertible
Who were cast in a remake of Thelma and Louise who is in it with you?. Hmmmm...I would definitely be Louise and my partner? Hmmmm Thelma? I would say that would be Debi Hubbs. Her website is www.artblooms.net
What is the quilt you shared? My husband is an avid hunter. During hunting season, if I want to spend an ounce of time with him, I need to go with. Well, truth be know, I am a vegetarian, so hunting isn't my bag. But he convinced me to go with him this one time. We were driving up this mountain rode in a snow storm looking for that "Trophy Buck!"
