My trip to NYC with Victoria inspired me to dig out these antique blocks I own

Because I seem to have decided to be inspired for a Journey Quilt
in Grey
or is it Gray?
yes Grey... the color I do not own
Well it seems I have quite the litle collection of it
and these antique blocks will be amazing ...
on this fabric that both Victoria and I bought.
well actually SHE was buying it.. the guy had an additional 1.5 yds on the bolt
and I .. on impulse ... took an yard
really .. a YARD of SOLID Grey..
WITH a sparkly side!
a little auditioning and I came up with this half drop setting

It's been basted..(with a bit of Aurifil 28wt)
I'm needle turning them by hand...
Have you done a Dresden Plate?
