Over the last few days I've been working on my Quilt Alliance Auction quilt... it's been an amazingly creative journey for me. It started with a sketch... and then I thought .. why not share the early part with you and see what you think (CLICK HERE to read that post).
What I found is that I really enjoy working in the moment. Without a full plan. I usually DO have a full blown plan and to be honest this was pretty close.. but.... it was not complete. My drawing had good bones, but not a layout that would be final.
That layout came with play... know how I felt?
yep.. this is what it felt like! I felt TOTALLY unsupervised!
I was not going to make a pattern, so that meant I could do ANYTHING without thinking about HOW I would write directions for someone else.
That is freedom... BUT
You liked it... liked it alot
and asked for a pattern... so....
In the near future.. watch my blog, Facebook, my online group and newsletter (signup at my right sidebar) for an announcement of a "Lets Go Sew" pattern! I can't do kits until Sept when my fabric comes in... but if that interests you I will do some!
What do you think? I actually bounced some ideas with my friend and come up with some surpises for the pattern.. can't AWAIT to get going on it!
You know I do have to make another of these because this one will be auctioned.. and YOU could own it!

QUESTION - would you want a kit?
